I never got around to writing a day 1 entry. Boo.
First and foremost, if you aren’t familiar with the Velocity Diet — you can find some information on it below:
It’s day 2 and this is harrrrrrrrrrrrd. I consider myself a somewhat disciplined person, but I love food. Eating the same thing day in/day out for 28 days is going to be tough. It’s not so much that I’m hungry as generally dissatisfied after meals.
Drinking meals isn’t a hell of a lot of fun. On the upside, I’ve lost a lot of water weight. I feel even though this diet is tough — damn tough — I should be able to manage, miserable as I may be.
I just have to keep my thoughts on the payoff — six-pack, six-pack, six-pack.
What sane person aims for a pre-winter six-pack?
Me, apparently. Heh.
I’m a big fan of instant gratification, we’ll see how this works out.
On a side note.. I had a lot of trouble staying asleep last night. When I did sleep I couldn’t keep from dreaming about cheating on the diet. I’ve read other diet logs where folks had the same experience. I’m sure it’s a manifestation of my anxieties and concerns about flaking out.
Peanut butter has become my saving grace for now. At the end of the day I can think of nothing else aside from sweet sweet peanut butter.. ..mmmm.. two tablespoons of heaven. Heh.
Day 2 pics after the jump..
